Children's Health Foundation improves the health of children through its support of research, education, and care in Oklahoma. Our organization plays a unique role in improving the lives of children in our community and around the world. Bridging science and clinical research in the treatment and prevention of human disease, we support programs of research that focus on cancer, genetics, diabetes, infectious disease, developmental pediatrics, pulmonology, neonatology, surgery, nephrology, gastroenterology, adolescent medicine, community pediatrics, and pediatrics training.
Funding for our programs is made possible through the efforts of a dedicated volunteer board, thousands of community volunteers, and donors. Through endowments and direct support, we are able to recruit and retain nationally and internationally recognized pediatric physician-scientists to direct research, treat patients, and train medical students.
Since our inception in 1983, CHF has raised more than $150 million for Oklahoma children, including 36 endowed research and education programs. Thousands of kids in Oklahoma have benefited from the efforts of CHF and our donors for the past forty years but our work is never over. 100% of the funds raised in Oklahoma stay in Oklahoma and no child is ever turned away from one of our supported programs, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
The Innovative Board plays an important role in the foundation and works to expand the base of devoted volunteer support among young professionals, increase awareness, and aids in fundraising efforts to support the foundation.
